Shawn Kwang

Platform Engineering

Shawn Kwang has been with ES.net since 2020. Shawn has spent most of his career in the academic world, starting as a graduate student in physics. After studying particle physics, he eventually joined the LIGO collaboration as a computer engineer, working on the Einstein@Home citizen science project, LIGO Linux Systems, and HPC clusters at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As an platform engineer at ES.net, he works on Kubernetes services, with a focus on automating solutions. Shawn also works on the Identity and Access Management (IAM) service at ES.net. He lives in Chicago with his family, which includes a very wiggly young child.
